The F-14 Tomcat was one of the longest supersonic aircraft in service, enjoying a 30-year service with the United States Navy. The F 14 Tomcat model was used in Vietnam War, Cold War and in Iran-Iraq war. The F-14 was manufactured and designed by the Grumman Aerospace Corporation and designed to carry an assortment of ammunitions like missiles. Later on, more improvements were done for the F-14 aircraft. For example, in the 1970's the F-14 Tomcat was fitted with the Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance Pod System (TARPS) which provided a more advanced and real-time transmission of reconnaissance imagery. Another improvement this time in 1990's was the addition of its ground attack capability.
